We are pleased to announce Build Studios has received funding from Lambeth Council’s Social Value Fund to deliver educational workshops to Lambeth families to help them understand energy efficiency in our houses and flats and its relationship to the climate emergency and our health. 

We will be delivering workshops to year 6 students across Lambeth primary schools to explore how our homes protect us, the function of the various materials they are made from, how heat and energy are lost and gained and the concept of a net zero home. There will also be an introduction to built environment careers such as architecture, retrofit and construction, with presentations from Lambeth based professionals to discuss their roles in creating climate resilient cities.

Alongside our workshops for young people, we will also deliver workshops for parents and carers to offer practical advice and guidance on the problems in housing such as damp, draughts and mould that are exacerbated by the climate emergency.
